Dr Baumgartner joins us from the University of the West of Scotland where he held roles as Dean and Deputy Dean for Education and Social Sciences.
Eric is passionate about the role universities play in addressing issues of Social Inclusion, Justice, and Mobility and has led extensively on research, curriculum and portfolio design to help future graduates, colleagues, and employers to address social inequalities and maximise the contributions they make to their communities locally, nationally and internationally.
He has a strong track record of collaborating with external partners, local and devolved government, and UNHCR. His experience in Higher Education spans across modern, Russell Group and international universities in England and Scotland. As a trained coach, Eric is passionate about inclusive and authentic leadership, with a deep commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. He leads projects in Youth Justice, Criminal Justice, Inclusive Education, and Qualitative Research Methods.
